What is the Rebel Loon?
The Rebel Loon is a grassroots symbol inspired by Minnesota’s state bird, the Common Loon. It has been adapted and shared by members of the public and embraced as a representation of resistance, accountability, community, and hope.
As one community member described it:
“The Rebel Loon is a depiction of Minnesota’s state bird that has been amplified to symbolize Minnesota’s resistance to government overreach and federal occupation, namely, fascism.”
— Craig Heinen
Did Fuzzy Loon Designs create the Rebel Loon?
The original Rebel Loon concept began as a simple black-and-white design that was shared widely by the public online. From there, many versions and interpretations have emerged as the symbol spread.
We created our own version of the Rebel Loon (non-AI image) in-house to print and share, but we do not claim ownership of the symbol or what it means itself. There are many similar versions in use, and that diversity reflects the grassroots nature of the movement.
We are a small, family-owned print shop. Our role is to print, fulfill orders, and support the community around the symbol. We’re comfortable with others using our version as long as it aligns with the positive meaning, intent, and values behind the Rebel Loon.
The Rebel Loon is not a corporate logo or branded campaign. It exists because people continue to carry it forward.
Are proceeds from Rebel Loon items being donated?
Yes.
Proceeds from Rebel Loon items are being used to support local organizations and community efforts. As of this time (2/13/26), $20,000 has been donated, with additional support continuing as we go.
We intentionally keep donation details flexible so we can respond to real-time community needs. One organization we have supported and recommend as an organization that needs help is Fe Y Justica. Find more info HERE about their organization and other ways to help.
How long does shipping take?
We are doing our best to balance a very high order volume with quality and fairness.
Our team consists of:
-
2 owners
-
5 part-time employees working limited hours (2 of them being remote)
-
A busy brick-and-mortar storefront
-
Hundreds of emails and phone calls daily
Because of this:
-
Sticker-only, pin-only, and hat-only orders usually ship faster
-
Clothing orders (shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts) may take up to 3–4 weeks as they take longer to make. We work oldest to newest.
-
Some items are pre-orders due to supply shortages and will only ship once they come in. If your order contains something that is considered pre-order it will be delayed until all items are available.
We appreciate your patience and promise every order is being produced as quickly as possible.
Why are some Rebel Loon items out of stock or listed as pre-order?
Demand has exceeded available inventory.
Items such as pins, patches, and certain apparel sizes sold out faster than expected. When an item is listed as pre-order, it means:
-
Inventory is already on order. (Blank shirts, mugs, etc)
-
Your purchase secures a spot in the next production run
You can sign up for restock notifications on product pages to be notified when items return.
Are all our Rebel Loon products made in-house?
Many Rebel Loon items are printed or produced in-house, but not all of them.
We also work with other small businesses in Minnesota to help keep production moving, especially for items that we cannot produce here in house due to capability or capacity. Items such as enamel pins, embroidered hats and patches are produced at another small business. Partnering locally allows us to support other small businesses while handling the high demand responsibly.
Because of this:
-
Some products depend on partner inventory availability
-
Production timelines can vary by item type and their capabilities.
-
Occasional delays happen when we’re waiting on restocks from those partners
We choose local partners intentionally and appreciate your patience as we coordinate across multiple small businesses to get orders out as quickly as possible without cutting corners.
Is the Rebel Loon political?
The Rebel Loon is community-driven, not party-driven.
It represents resistance to oppression, accountability, and hope through collective action. People from many backgrounds connect with the symbol, and that diversity is part of its meaning.

Final note
The Rebel Loon exists because people recognized themselves in it.

The resistance starts in the North.
